Background

I love to write and tell other people's stories, and I've been doing it in corporate communications and journalistic positions for more than 25 years. I’ve been a manager as well as a lead writer and editor.

I currently work for a variety of corporate clients in industries ranging from health care to student loans. I create stories for online and print publications, produce copy for brochures and web sites and edit newsletter content for clarity and style. Access my client list.

As a corporate communications manager I worked at two large Indianapolis-based companies: Methodist Hospital and USA Group. I managed internal and external communications strategies at the hospital, and I worked as part of a team directing all employee communication efforts when the hospital merged with Indiana University Hospital and Riley Hospital for Children to become Clarian Health. At USA Group I revamped customer publication strategies and oversaw all work completed by the corporate communications team. Access my accomplishments.

As a journalist I worked for the Gannett Co. at various locations including Florida, where I coordinated coverage of Kennedy Space Center and NASA, and suburban Washington D.C., where I was a member of the Gannett News Service copy desk editing stories from staffers, USA Today reporters and others.

I earned a bachelor's degree in journalism with a business minor from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.
